'A quiet publishing revolution': The Herald

E-book
conditions of sale

At Two Ravens Press we believe that e-books can have many advantages for readers, authors and publishers. We would like to see them reasonably priced and convenient to use. This is the basis on which we sell e-books direct from our website.

We have not bound our e-books so tightly in security measures that they are inaccessible to all but the computer-fluent, or in a way that means that you can't take your e-book with you if you buy a new or different machine. So we need purchasers to agree to use them responsibly – and to agree to the following conditions of purchase:

  • The e-book is for personal use only and may not be re-sold, lent or displayed in any way for gain, financial or otherwise.
  • The e-book may not be reproduced or distributed by any means which gives public access to the e-book or any of its contents.
  • The e-book may only be copied for storage, back-up and for display on the various reading devices which the purchaser uses to access e-books for his or her own use.

To ensure ‘fair play’ in the use of our e-books we have individually numbered each copy. We have also made certain other distinguishing marks in the text which will allow us to track any copies which have been used to violate the conditions of purchase. Because each copy sold is unique, we are unable to offer an 'instant download' service. Instead, we will e-mail each unique numbered copy of the e-book to a customer’s personal e-mail address after receiving payment by Paypal, cheque or cash. You will almost always receive your e-book within 24 hours of purchase, and usually much sooner.

We will not refund the purchase price of e-books unless it can be shown that our files are defective.

The prices shown are inclusive of VAT, which is payable on e-books (but not on printed books).

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL OUR E-BOOKS ARE IN E-PUB FORMAT ONLY. If you don't have an e-book reader you can download Adobe Digital Editions free of charge from the Adobe website; this will enable you to read e-books on your computer.

Click on the title, and the information page for each book will open in a new window. There you'll find extracts, reviews and much more.

Please click on the appropriate PayPal button to purchase. Your e-book will then be emailed to the email address associated with your PayPal payment within 24 hours.
