New Writing

WELCOME TO CORVACEOUS, THE LITERARY WEB
MAGAZINE FROM TWO RAVENS PRESS

A new issue of Corvaceous will appear on the first day of each month, with two or three pieces of new content in each of the three sections: A Writer's Life, Articles & Interviews, and New Writing. Although we draw on our own writers for contributions, we're not exclusive — so if you're interested in submitting a piece of work, please see the information in the submissions box, to the right.

Please also read (and join in the debates on) our daily blog — life as a small independent publisher combined with life on the croft. It's never dull!

Books can be purchased securely online, post & packing free within the UK.

Why should you buy from us? Because sales through our website are not subject to enormous discounts like many other online outlets (Amazon can take up to 60% of retail price, just for listing a book) — and yet you save money, because within the UK we give you postage & packing free. This means that a book bought from us can be as cheap as a book bought from Amazon. But it also means that the publisher makes a small profit, and authors make decent royalties. So buying from us supports small publishers and authors too; it ensures that everyone gets a fair deal — and that literary fiction is more likely to have a future.

SUBMISSIONS

Want to submit to Corvaceous? For Articles & Interviews we're looking for new literary criticism, articles on almost any aspect of the book world or writing world, and interviews with writers or critics.

A Writer's Life includes reflections on their writing, the process of writing, and life as a writer by a range of different authors. In the New Writing section we'll carry an occasional new piece of fiction or poetry.

If you have something you'd like to submit, please contact the editor. Corvaceous isn't funded in any way, so we're unable to pay for contributions.
